Kushikatsu Tanaka at Waikiki Yokocho

Delicious kushikatsu fried to perfection.

Recently opened and located on the lower level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza in the Waikiki Yokocho is Kushi Katsu Tanaka, a restaurant specializing in Osaka kushikatsu and takoyaki.

In case you don't already know, kushikatsu are deep fried meats and veggies on a stick and my family loves them!  We especially loved the shrimp, pork, octopus, and my personal fried favorite was the mochi. All kushikatsu is ordered by the skewer and served to your table.

One thing that you have to serve yourself is their DIY takoyaki that you make on your table. They provide the ingredients, batter, instructions and the rest is up to you.

Delicious place to take friends, family, or a date!  Also recommend getting the cookies and crème kushikatsu! It's a must try!

My husband did a great job on the takoyaki!
