Splash Bar & Bento - Poolside Eats at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel

While at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, my kids loved playing at the pool. Thankfully, we didn't have to go very far when it came time to eat, as the Splash Bar & Bento is located poolside, offering a variety of locally- and Japanese-inspired dishes.

I had been wanting to try the Chicken Katsu Sliders ever since I looked at the menu online while planning our staycation. Three Portuguese Sweet Rolls were stuffed with Chicken Katsu, along with a Slaw that gave the sliders a nice crunch, and a Madras curry aioli. Although I missed having katsu sauce, the aioli gave the sliders a nice flavor, and the katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside.

My husband liked the Pineapple Bacon Cheese Burger, which was topped with a rum-spiked pineapple jam.

I love that there are a variety options for kids meals - from familiar faves like grilled cheese and hot dogs, to healthier options such as grilled chicken breast or beef stir fry with steamed vegetables. I did, however, think the portion of the grilled chicken was pretty small for $12.

Since it was a sweltering day, we decided to get the Fudgy Brownie Sundae for dessert. The menu's description of the dessert was "a mountain of fudge brownies and vanilla ice cream covered with whipped cream and hot fudge, macadamia nuts."

And a mountain of brownies and ice cream we received! It was the perfect ending to such a lovely lunch.

Service was excellent, and the food was great. Being able to dine poolside makes it so convenient when the kids are just having so much fun at the pool!

Splash Bar & Bento is a great dining option even if you're not staying at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel. In addition to lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers two daily happy hours, as well as nightly entertainment.

Whether you've worked up an appetite after a day at the pool, or looking for a place to hang out with friends for pupus and drinks, check out Splash Bar & Bento!

Parking is complimentary with validation for 4 hours with a $10 minimum purchase.
