New Eats: Pipeline Bakeshop & Creamery

The newest contender in the malasada business in Hawaii is Pipeline Bakeshop & Creamery in Kaimuki.  IMHO, their made-to-order malasadas are way better than you-know-where (if you don't, click here).  They're thicker, doughier, and less greasy, which means they don't turn into a soggy, oily mess after a few hours.  Plus, they're 10 cents cheaper (only $1 per malasada) and you don't have to fight for parking and wait in line for these babies.

Don't be like me and just buy four on your first visit.  Go for a dozen!

In addition to malasadas, they also have scones, triple fudge brownies, banana breads, cookies, and mini bundt cakes.  And I'm sure there will be more to come as they get their feet wet.

They are located in the former Toys N Joys spot at 3632 Waialae Avenue. Call for hours (808-738-8200) or check their Instagram and Facebook pages.  Free parking is available off of Central Street (behind the old Queen Theater), second parking lot on the left.
