Fried Rice Recipe

I love fried rice!

I don't make it very often, but I've had a newsletter with a Side Street Inn Fried Rice recipe for years, and I finally decided to give it a try (similar recipe can be found here from the Honolulu Star Bulletin).

It was so delicious!

I definitely will try to make this recipe more often!

Fried Rice (recipe slightly adapted from Side Street Inn)

Ingredients:
  • 2 c cooked, day-old rice
  • 1/4 c Portuguese sausage, diced
  • 1/4 c bacon, chopped,
  • 1/2 c green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 c chair siu, chopped
  • 3 T oyster sauce
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 T hondashi
Instructions:

  • Brown sausage and bacon in a large skillet.
  • Add rice and mix well.
  • Stir in oyster sauce and hondashi.
  • Add onions and char siu.
  • Mix everything together, plate, and top with green onions.

  1. YUM! We love fried rice, but because of Military Husband's allergies, we have to leave out the oyster sauce.
