Recently Opened in Kaka`ako - Egghead Cafe

It's no secret that I love breakfast, so when I saw @makamizzle's pic via Twitter of the S'more Pancake from the recently-opened Egghead Cafe, I knew I had to check the place out.

I don't even like pancakes or anything sweet for breakfast (my breakfast food of choice is anything that includes bacon), but I definitely wanted to give the S'more Pancake a try.

Located in the former I Love Country Cafe, Egghead Cafe is a small, seat-yourself eatery (a few tables are also located outside of the restaurant).

I ordered the California Omelette (avocado, bacon, onions, bell peppers; topped with salsa and American cheese) with a Parmesan Garlic Toast.  I've eaten omelettes with American cheese before, and also ones with salsa, but I never had one topped with both.  It was surprisingly good, especially with all of the yummy fillings, like bacon and avocado.

My husband ordered the Two-Eggs Breakfast, which came with a choice of breakfast meat, as well as rice (could also choose the garlic toast) and salad.

As for the S'More Pancake, which was smothered in a dark chocolate ganache, marshmallows, and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs - my son declared it "the best pancake ever."  It was indeed good - a little too sweet for my own taste buds, and my husband thought the pancakes were a little dry, but my son kept raving about the pancakes.

I thought service was great, and I definitely want to go back to try their lunch items.
