Orchid Thai Restaurant

Although Orchid Thai Restaurant opened a few months ago, it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago did I discover this new Thai eatery, so I was eager to try it out with some friends.

Usually when I go to Thai restaurants with people we order family style, but on this visit my friends and I decided to order our own entrees.

Since I always have to eat Spring Rolls at Thai restaurants, I ordered them along with the Lookfun Pad Thai.  I usually order "regular" Pad Thai, but I wanted to eat the thick Lookfun noodles.  Everything was really tasty - the Spring Rolls and Lookfun Pad Thai both had a lot of flavor.

For dessert I decided to try the Banana Rice Cake at the recommendation of the server.  It was good - reminiscent of the Filipino Kankanen, but there was some kind of bean paste in the middle that I didn't care for.  My favorite part of the dessert was the ice cream.

My friends enjoyed the dishes that they ordered, and with the exception of our server forgetting that we ordered dessert (and having to wait a very long time for it), service was overall good.

Orchid Thai Restaurant is a great place for Thai food in the Aiea area!
