Urban Bistro

Curious about that new building at 808 Sheridan Street?  It's home to a great new restaurant serving lunch and dinner called Urban Bistro.  My friend and I came to check it out for lunch and we had a wonderful time.

They have a good selection of appetizers, salads, sliders, pizzas, and entrees on their menu.  We shared the hummus, Rycroft salad (the Chef's version of the Waldorf), Urban Cowboy pizza, and the fish sliders.  I loved the hummus and enjoyed the juicy apple slices and the yummy candied walnuts in the salad.  The fish sliders looked really good, but I thought the flavor wasn't strong enough.  Our favorite, which surprised us both, was the BBQ chicken pizza.  It's grilled and not baked on a thick bread.  The flavor was great!  We ended our lunch with their s'mores pie.  It's the perfect size to share and you must get it!

Although Urban Bistro is a no-tip restaurant, service was still first class.  Their new valet parking system isn't up and running just yet so you'll have to look for street parking or you can park parallel to the wall by the dumpster.  Open daily from 11am.
