Egoiste Cafe Noir Review

Complimentary product was received for review purposes.  All opinions are entirely my own.

My name is Nadia and I am addicted to coffee.  It all started when I got my first full time job and discovered I was not my best in the morning.  I was able to quit when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, but soon I missed starting my morning with the warmth and rich aroma of coffee.  Now I look forward to sipping on hot coffee while I check my emails in the office.

Unfortunately, as many working moms know, getting to the office on time can be challenging.  Often I have to weigh the pros and cons of getting that cup of joe or being 15 minutes late.  I’ve tried making my own coffee at work.  I even invested in a nice French press, but I’ve discovered I am just that lazy and prefer not to make it myself.  But then, I got a sample of Egoiste Café Noir, an instant coffee from Egoiste, a line of European gourmet coffee from Coffee Globe.  Egoiste Café Noir is the first available product for purchase in the United States.

I’m not a coffee snob by any means, but for some reason I have stayed clear of instant coffee and it looks like I’m not alone.  According to Tim Bush, VP of Sales for Coffee Globe, “Americans are not usually instant coffee drinkers - only about 7 percent of the U.S. drinks instant coffee on a daily basis, but Egoiste is here to change that.  In Europe, the majority of people drink instant coffee and have strict standards for its flavor.  Our hopes in bringing Egoiste to the U.S. is to provide the gourmet taste of convenient coffee that is so loved by Europeans.”

The instant coffee is produced in Germany and freeze-dried through a proprietary process and made with a blend of highland and lowland Kenyan Arabica beans.  It’s super simple to prepare.  To make one cup, use 1-2 teaspoons per cup and add hot water.  I usually need to add milk to my coffee to balance the bitterness, but I didn’t need to with Egoiste Cafe Noir.  It wasn't too strong for me and I enjoyed the rich flavor of the coffee.  I loved that this quality cup of coffee was made in such a short time.  It will definitely save me time in the mornings and cleanup will be a cinch.

Celebrate August, National Coffee Month, by making your life a little simpler with a cup of Egoiste Cafe Noir!  One 3.53 oz makes a whopping 60 servings.  Egoiste Café Noir is sold online and through select online retailers.
