Double Chocolate Cookies with Walnuts Recipe

What's better than a chocolate chip cookie with walnuts?  A double chocolate cookie with walnuts!

This recipe from Food Network was a cinch to make, and the end result was delicious!

Double Chocolate Cookies with Walnuts (recipe credit Food Network Kitchens)

  • 2 1/4 c flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 c butter (2 sticks), softened
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 c chocolate chips
  • 1 c chopped walnuts 
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. 
  • In a separate large bowl, mix together butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla and cocoa. 
  • Add flour mixture into butter mixture and mix until combined. 
  • Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets and bake approximately 10 minutes.
