Visit Phoenix: Red's Bar & Grill

While in Arizona we stayed at The Wigwam, and on our first morning we had breakfast at Red's Bar & Grill.

Market Omelet

Kiddo Pancakes

Southwest "Loco Moco"
I had the Market Omelet, which consisted of a choice of 3 fillings, and I opted for Country Ham, Aged Cheddar, and Mushroom.  It was satisfying, and the accompanying breakfast potatoes were delicious.

My husband's Southwest Loco Moco consisted of a poached egg atop Sonoran Rice, and also included Chorizo, Ranchero Sauce, and Cotija Cheese.  He enjoyed it, and I thought it was a fun twist on Hawaii's Loco Moco (which consists of regular white rice, a hamburger patty, and gravy).

The kids all had the Kiddo Pancakes, which included 3 silver dollar pancakes, sausage, and bacon.  It was a great deal for just $4.95.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise throughout our breakfast due to ongoing construction of the restaurant, which is going through an entire remodel, and there was only a limited amount of seating available indoors (there are lots of tables outdoors, but it was way too cold to enjoy breakfast outdoors).

It was evident that the construction impacted the service level, but our server was very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious and reasonably-priced.

I'm sure the restaurant will look great once all the renovations are completed!
