Visit New York: Momofuku Milk Bar

My sweet tooth took me to New York's Momofuku milk bar, the bakery-inspired dessert branch of David Chang's Momofuku restaurant group.  Christina Tosi is the chef, owner and founder of the bakery that has been called "one of the most exciting bakeries in the country" by Bon Appetit Magazine.

As a result of my Yelp research, I found that my number one mission would be to try the crack pie.  My goodness, the toasted oat crust and gooey butter filling did not disappoint.  For my little ones with mouthfuls of sweet teeth at home, I picked up some cornflake-marshmallow-chocolate chip cookies.  But too bad for my kids, the pie had to be refrigerated and wouldn't last the 13+ hour flight back home to Hawaii and so had to be completely devoured by yours truly.  I am such a good Mom. ;)
