Three Gap Inc. Brands Coming to Ka Makana Ali`i

As holiday shopping ramps up, the strong lineup of local, national and international tenants for Ka Makana Ali`i, the 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall being built in West Oahu, continues to grow. In addition to Macy's, H&M and Forever 21, Ka Makana Alii will also include stores for three of the Gap Inc. brands – Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic.

Ka Makana Ali`i will be only the second shopping center in Hawaii to offer all three retailers under one roof. Old Navy is expected to occupy 12,500 square feet in its fourth Hawaii store location while Gap’s fifth Hawaii store will be 7,200 square feet. Banana Republic will open a 6,500 square foot store, its sixth location in the state. These will be the first West Oahu locations for all three retailers, which will offer women’s, men’s and children’s apparel, as well as footwear and accessories.

“Gap Inc. is one of the most iconic retailers in the industry and to have three of its most popular brands coming to Ka Makana Ali`i is an indication of the strong demand that exists in West Oahu,” said Edward Kobel, president and chief operation officer at DeBartolo Development. "We’re excited to add Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic to our growing roster of local, national and global retailers and look forward to starting preparations this month for construction on the center.”

The first phase of Ka Makana Ali`i, scheduled to open in 2016, will feature more than 150 shopping, dining and entertainment offerings. For more information, please visit kamakanaalii.com.
