Plantation Tavern

Plantation Tavern, a restaurant which emphasizes the use of fresh, local ingredients, recently celebrated its grand opening in Kapolei, and our family dined there for lunch a couple of weekends ago.

The lunch menu is very limited compared to the dinner menu, and although there is no kids menu, everyone in our family found something on the menu they wanted to try.

I had the Kalua Pork Sandwich, which was good - the Kalua Pork was tender and tasty.

My middle son ate the Garlic Chicken, but we had ordered the sauce on the side at the recommendation of the server just in case he didn't like the garlic sauce, but my son loved dipping the chicken in the sauce.  He even declared it "the best chicken ever."

My oldest son chose The Plantation, which was a ham, turkey, and provolone sandwich, and he really liked it.  It was a huge sandwich, and he could barely finish half of it.

My husband had the Bulgogi Burger, which he liked.

Dessert was very delicious - I could've just eaten the pineapple gelato by itself!

Service was excellent, and although prices were on the high side, I would gladly dine there again - and maybe try the dinner menu next time!
