Happy Days

Last weekend we attended a surprise birthday party for our friend at Happy Days Chinese Restaurant in Kaimuki.  It was a great venue for our party because we were in a private room for the 15 of us.  The party organizer pre-ordered the food and brought in a custom made cake from Dee Lite/Saint-Germain Bakery.

Happy Days is one of my go-to restaurants when I want to eat dim sum and do not want to hassle with the parking and crowds in Chinatown.  The quality is decent and it's reasonably priced.  It's not THE BEST place to get dim sum on the island, but it's convenient.

The cake from Dee Lite bakery was really good.  The frosting tasted like it was made out of whipped cream, instead of butter cream, so it was very light and not too sweet.  My friend and I both ate two pieces without guilt.
