Maru-Hi Restaurant & Lounge

I recently met a couple of friends at Maru-Hi Restaurant & Lounge in the Mililani Town Center.

This was only the second time I've ever been there.

There was a special for the evening which I ended up ordering (another friend also ordered it), which consisted of Mochiko Chicken (or you could have ordered some kind of beef instead), Tempura, and Gyoza.

First the Miso Soup came.

It was good, but they didn't give very much.

Next was the special that I ordered.

Overall the meal was not bad.  Everything tasted pretty good, but I've had better mochiko chicken elsewhere.

Another friend ordered the Teriyaki Chicken.  It came out sizzling!

Overall the food itself was fine.

The service, however, was a bit lacking.  There was only one server and the restaurant was over half-full.

Despite that, I had a really nice dinner and I think the next time I'd order something other than mochiko chicken.

  1. I LOVE sizzling platters! That teri chicken looks super ono! And I do like tempura.
