The Cheesecake Factory

When I was going to school in the mainland, we'd often go to The Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills (I remember going at least one time with fellow contributor @nanigurl). Whenever I'd go to The Cheesecake Factory, I'd always order something different from their very extensive menu, and I'd NEVER order cheesecake, simply because I didn't care for cheesecake back then.

Times have changed...I don't know on which visit it was, but on one particular visit to The Cheesecake Factory, I ordered the Cajun Chicken Littles and an Oreo Cheesecake, and ever since then, I've ALWAYS ordered the Cajun Chicken Littles (except for one time--at The Cheesecake Factory in Caesars Palace--their fryer was broken so I had to order something else), and I ALWAYS order cheesecake, usually trying a different cheesecake each time.

When The Cheesecake Factory finally opened in Hawaii in 2003, I thought "it's about time!"

It's usually pretty crowded (like most Cheesecake Factory restaurants), but on this visit we went just after 11am so it was still a bit empty, and we got seated right away.

Shortly after we were seated we got some complimentary bread (sorry, no photo), and the boys got some bread slices along with some banana slices!

I ordered my usual--Cajun Chicken Littles. It's sooooo good. And they give A LOT!

DH ordered the Wasabi Crusted Ahi Tuna. He loved it and ate it all up.

Since The Cheesecake Factory doesn't have a kids menu, our server advised us of some "kid-sized" options, and we ended up getting the Kids Pepperoni Pizza.

It was HUGE! For $5.95, that was a deal! Both the boys loved the pizza!

Then it was time for dessert!

Since we were celebrating DS1's birthday, we got him a mini sundae.
And of course, I had to get cheesecake. They were offering some seasonal desserts, and I ended up ordering the Pumpkin Cheesecake.

It was nice and creamy, but I thought it tasted more like pumpkin pie than cheesecake. However, it was still good.

The service was really good, and we loved the food. I can't wait to go back and try a different cheesecake!

  1. I'm not real big on this place. It's way over priced I think. And it's in the heart of Waikiki LOL The food when I went wasn't all the best tasting. But it was the first time I'd been there so maybe I should try it again sometime. Oh and by the way, I saw another Farmer's Market at Kapalama School (Likelike/School) It's only got about 10 vendors and it's on Sunday. I just thought I'd let you know :) Have a great rest of the weekend :)

  2. I love their bread and oreo cheesecake. Their fried calamari appetizer is good to (at least it is on the mainland, not sure about here).

If I recall, you get 4 hours of free validated parking at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center when you dine there - that's definitely a perk to dining there.
