Mariposa Hawaii Closing in May 2026

An Ala Moana Center restaurant staple famous for their popovers will be closing next month. Although I hadn't dined in recent years, I have many fond memories from baby showers to Mother's day lunches. Mariposa Hawaii will definitely be missed. 

As soon as I heard the sad news, I made a reservation on Open Table and dined at the end of March. Since then, it seems pretty difficult to make a reservation, but I would check Open Table frequently as reservations may open up.

For my last meal at the iconic restaurant, I had the burger. Of course service was top notch, but the carefree atmosphere is what makes Mariposa so comforting while you share a delicious meal with good company. Mahalo Mariposa for the wonderful memories!
