We searched for things to do on a rainy day in Osaka, and found VS Park (there are two locations in Osaka, we went to the one in LaLaport EXPOCITY).
We bought a 2-hour ticket, which gives you unlimited access to all the activities (student prices are available - we didn't have the kids' school IDs with us, but we showed their passports and got the discount).
Upon purchase of a ticket, you are given an armband with an exit time. If you are a minute late, you will get charged a fee, so be cognizant of the time!
Once we entered the facility, we locked up our backpacks into one of the many free lockers, and off we went to play!
There are 2 levels of activities, totaling 29.

The first hour we were there, there was a huge school group, so wait times were long for some activities. However, once they left, VS Park was quite empty, with only about a dozen people around.
There are all sorts of fun things to try there, such as:

| Rolling Tower |

| Nigekiru |
Nigekiru was quite fun, as you can race against a number of beasts in a 10m sprint.
Most activities have a set-up where you can attach a phone to record all the fun.

Everyone who enters the facility has to buy a ticket even if he / she doesn't plan on playing any games or participating in any activity. What I was most surprised about was that there were not too many employees manning the different activities. But perhaps not surprising, and just so refreshing, was how the visitors did not "hog" the games, or play more than once without letting the next visitors waiting in line to play, or cut in line. All the kids there in the school group waited patiently for their turn and did not cut in line to join their friends. It's a testament to the courtesy and respect of the Japanese.
VS Park was a fun way to spend a couple hours on a rainy day in Japan!
