Visit Fukuoka: TeamLab Forest Fukuoka

If you visit Fukuoka, don't miss a fun and interactive time at TeamLab Forest Fukuoka. The seven room exhibit focuses on two concepts: Catching and Collecting Forest and an Athletics Forest. In the first, you will need to download their app on your smartphone so you can catch various animals, study them, and create your very own collection book. Depending on the season, different animals live in this forest and ocean that change with the flow of real time. When you touch an animal, it will turn to face you or run away.

The second concept involves guests using their bodies in this complex, three-dimensional space and immersing themselves in an interactive world

One of rooms ends with a coloring station where after you finish your drawing, the staff will scan your artwork and it will be released as a part of the exhibit. It was super fun to see my drawing come to life. Afterwards, you can turn your drawing into an original product such as a pin, hand towel, T-shirt, or tote bag.

I really enjoyed this TeamLab and recommend it for groups of all ages. The exhibit is open daily and tickets are recommended to be purchased on-line and in advance. Ticket fee for guests 16 years and older is 2400 yen. Children from ages 4-15 is 1000 yen.
