The Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival has championed our local farmers and producers through numerous programs and initiatives.
On Tuesday, the blessing of the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival & ʻŌuli Farms Chefs’ Garden marked the start of the newest initiative, in which a half-acre at ʻŌuli Farms is dedicated to five chefs who will showcase ʻŌuli Farms’ produce at their establishments.
The five chefs — Chef Peter Abarcar Jr. of Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Chef Allen Hess of FORC, Chef Brian Hirata of Na'au Hilo, Chef Jayson Kanekoa of Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, and Chef Roy Yamaguchi of Roy's Waikoloa, will also feature ingredients from ‘Ōuli Farms at the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival’s First Annual Cuisines of the Sun Golf Classic Hosted by Alan Wong and Cucina: From Mauka to Makai on October 17 & 18, respectively.
