Visit Hilo: The Tiki Turtle Cafe

Recently opened in Hilo is The Tiki Turtle Cafe in the Arc of Hilo, where not only can you find good food and refreshing smoothies, but you'll find an organization that is helping people with disabilities get vocational training, enabling them to become more confident and empowered to thrive in all that they set out to do.
Kalua Pork & Cabbage

Open Monday-Friday, The Tiki Turtle Cafe has a small menu of sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, as well as a daily special.  The Kalua Pork & Cabbage was a special of the day.  My friend said "it's better than most places" on the island (and this is coming from a professional chef!).

Chicken Salad Sandwich
I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich with Mac Nut Pesto and a side of Pasta Salad (also available is chips or pineapple slaw).  You could order the sandwich on white, spinach wrap, herb wrap, or sweet bread.

The sandwich was stuffed, and the pasta salad was really good.

I ordered the Orange Dream smoothie, but they were out, so I got the Mango Pineapple smoothie instead.  It was yummy and perfect for the warm weather!

The Tiki Turtle Cafe is such a great Cafe with an even greater mission.

Order online to reduce any wait time!
