Visit Pensacola: The Fish House

While in Florida, we went to The Fish House for lunch, a popular lunch spot that has great views of the harbor, and an extensive menu.

Fried Grouper Bites

This was my first time having grouper, and what better way to have them fried?  They were cornmeal-dusted and served with a creole remoulade.  We all enjoyed it!

Gulf Coast Po' Boy

You can get the Gulf Coast Po' Boy with either Fried Shrimp or Fried Oysters.

World-Famous Grits a Ya Ya

I had the World-Famous Grits a Ya Ya. Their signature dish consists of a mound of Gouda cheese grits, accompanied by jumbo shrimp, spinach, portobello mushrooms, bacon, garlic, shallots, and cream. I could understand why it's World-Famous - it is truly a delicious, comforting dish.

I've had grits before, but it was never this elevated! The cheesiness of the grits combined with the smokiness of the bacon was just a winning combo. I would've been happy with just the grits and bacon! Everything else added was like "icing on the cake."

Chef John's Burger

Chef John's Burger was enormous.  A half-pound Angus beef burger is topped with pork belly, lettuce, onion, smoked Gouda pimento cheese, and a spicy tomato jam.

Service was great, and I would highly recommend this family-friendly restaurant in Pensacola!
