Visit Kaua`i: Scorpacciata

We wanted a quick and easy dinner to take back to our hotel room on Kaua`i, so we ordered pizza to-go from Scorpacciata.

Scorpacciata offers Neapolitan-style pizzas.  They are small in size (think CPK-size) so we ordered several pizzas so we could try a variety (no 1/2 1/2 pizzas allowed).
Formaggio

Jarlsberg, Pecorino, smoked Gouda, Havarti topped this cheese-lover's dream.

Pepperoni
The Pepperoni was topped with plenty of Ezzo pepperoni, along with mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, and parsley.

Mushroom

The Mushroom pizza was just covered in mushrooms!  I did not think I would like it because goat cheese is also a topping (I'm not a fan), but the flavor of the goat cheese was not strong, and the mushrooms, kale, and caramelized onions, along with a balsamic reduction and truffle oil, really shone through.  So much umami!

I loved how loaded each pizza was with toppings - no skimping at all!

If I had to choose a fave, it would be the Pepperoni, but they were all quite good, and the crust was great as well - thin and crispy with a nice char.

Online ordering makes to-go a cinch!
