Visit Maui: Pukalani Superette

Since I knew we were going to be in the area, I suggested we stop at Pukalani Superette for some omiyage.

This little grocery / convenience store has been serving the community for over 6 decades, and it was bustling with people mostly stopping for grab-and-go eats and drinks.

Seeing a bunch of people grabbing trays of food to-go was enough to convince me to grab a tray of fried chicken.
It turned out to be really good fried chicken - crispy skin, tender meat, and delish!
I did buy some omiyage as well.  They have all sorts of Maui-made products, but I just stuck with cookies.

Be prepared for a bit of some sticker shock, as prices are quite higher than what one may expect.  Despite that, Pukalani Superette is definitely a convenient spot for food and snacks!
