Visit Italy: Pani e Casu

One of my favorite dining experiences in Italy was at Pani e Casu (bread and cheese), where we feasted on authentic Sardinian dishes.

Fava Beans

Eggplant

Assorted Bread

Olives

Mushroom Carpaccio

Assorted Cheese

Snails in Tomato Sauce

Assorted Vegetables
Figs & Prosciutto

We had some VIP hosts, so we didn't even order from the menu.  The staff just brought us dish after dish after dish.

I loved the simple, yet delicious dishes that were made with quality ingredients.  I loved the bread and cheese (of course), as well as the eggplant and mushroom dishes.

The highlight of the meal was when a porcetto, or suckling pig, was brought to the table.
Porcetto
What a treat!  The skin was so crispy, and the meat was flavorful.

It was such a fabulous meal, and I would highly recommend dining at Pani e Casu for traditional Sardinian dishes.
