Visit Hilo: New Saigon Restaurant

I love Bo Kho - the Vietnamese beef stew, so when Jordan @automaticflies mentioned that there is a Hilo spot, New Saigon Restaurant, with great Bo Kho, I made sure to check it out!

Bo Kho
You can order Bo Kho with French bread or noodles, and I opted for the bread. The Bo Kho broth was very flavorful and herbaceous.  The beef was super tender, and I really enjoyed the dish!  Definitely one of the best Bo Khos I've had anywhere.

Spring Rolls

The Spring Rolls were delish as well, and my friend thought the vermicelli was good and appreciated how New Saigon didn't skimp on garnishes.

He wished there was a litte more pork in the Bahn Mi, but thought it was good overall.
