Visit Texas: Brushy Creek Regional Trail

While in Texas, I met up with a friend who I hadn't seen since high school, and we decided to take the family to Brushy Creek Trail.

There are several points to access the nearly 8-mile trail, and we parked at the Sports Park. The trail is very easy - mostly paved, with people biking, walking, or running.

We went midday, and it was quite hot.  There weren't as many trees on the route we went on, which meant a lot of time exposed to the sun, but we did get to see cool structures, the railroad tracks, the creek, and lots of interesting natural elements.

We only walked for an hour since the heat was really getting to us.

I imagine when it's cooler it's a lot more enjoyable to walk and explore the trail, but we did have a nice time catching up with friends outdoors!
