Visit Italy: Mercato di San Benedetto

We needed to shop for ingredients for our Na`au events at Argiolas Winery, so the owner took us to Mercato di San Benedetto - and what an experience it was!  I'd liken it to a farmers market + seafood store - multiplied by 10! 

It's an enormous venue, with the main level featuring mostly produce, meats, cheeses, and breads.






From fresh figs, dry-aged meats, pastas, and more, it was a culinary dream.






We even got to sample some cheeses and meats.

The lower level features seafood - all sorts of seafood that you could possibly imagine - lobster, mussels, fish, clams . . . 






I have never seen so many different types of seafood in one spot before.  It was amazing!  

Mercato de San Benedetto is quite the attraction - we even saw some tourists being led through.  Whether you are in need of ingredients to cook or want to experience a local market, check out Mercato de San Benedetto!
