Visit Maui: Maui Alpaca

While planning activities for a Maui trip, I came across Maui Alpaca, an 8 acre Alpaca Farm estate located in Makawao, Maui.  My friends love animals, so I knew they would love to visit and see these super cute animals in person.

The farm offers a few variations of tours including a picnic and an upcoming trekking tour where you can take an alpaca for a walk on the slopes of Haleakala!  We chose the daily farm visit which is a walking tour to meet and learn about the alpaca and angora rabbits.  The tour also included feeding the alpaca and lots of cuddle time with the animals.  We also received a fiber and spinning demonstration and got to try our hand (and foot) using a manual spinning wheel.  It was not easy, but fun to experience.

Maui Alpaca offers a discount for kama'aina and reservations are required.  Visit Maui Alpaca here.
