Visit San Diego: Temari-zushi

Temari 9

After visiting Crumbl Cookies, my daughter, Lauren was in the mood for sushi rolls for dinner.  Before I turned to my Yelp app, I told her, let's just look around this strip mall. As we stood in the parking lot, we spotted Temari-zushi.  I did a quick yelp search and found that it had an overall 5 star rating so we headed in.

Temari-zushi specializes in temari sushi - delicate bite sized and ball shaped sushi topped with seafood and edible decorations.  But that's not all they serve.  Their menu is extensive with offerings of omakase, handrolls, the most sushi rolls I have ever seen on one menu, teishoku, noodles, rice dishes, and more.  Definitely something for everyone.

Lauren ordered the Caterpillar Roll (unagi and imitation crab topped with avocado and unagi sauce) and I ordered the Salmon Lover Roll (salmon and cucumber topped with more salmon, avocado, ponzu sauce and green onion).  I also wanted to try their temari sushi so I ordered the Temari 4 (Salmon, Yellowtail, Tuna, and Blue Crab).  The sushi was great and we both enjoyed our dinner.  We liked it so much that we returned a couple of nights later with my husband Mike and some friends.  Again, we had a great dinner!
