Craft Pizzas at Appetito Craft Pizza and Wine Bar

Italian Salami

Did you know it's National Pizza Week? What better way to celebrate all week long than with a craft pizza or two from Appetito Craft Pizza and Wine Bar in Waikiki. Located in the OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger hotel, Appetito makes their pizzas with homemade sauces and Caputo flour, an import from Naples, Italy.  You can watch from your table while the hand-stretched pizzas are made to order in the Kiawe wood oven.

The pizza craving hit my husband hard this past weekend and he really wanted to try the Neapolitan style pizzas at Appetito.  For our family of four, we ordered the Italian Salami (Italian Salami and Mozzarella and crimini mushroom, basil), the Funghi (Porcini Cream with Mix mushrooms, Truffle oil and fresh Thyme), and the Margherita (San Marzano tomato sauce, Mozzarella and Grana Padano, with fresh basil).  The pizzas came out quick and were delicious. I loved the flavors and the chewy crust. My husband says they are on point with the pizzas we enjoyed on our first trip to Naples a couple of years back.
