Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar

Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar is one of my favorite ramen-yas on Oahu, because they're one of the few Japanese ramen-yas on island that have tsukemen on the menu.  Tsukemen is a style of Japanese noodles where the ramen noodles, which are usually thicker than the usual ramen noodles, are served seperate from the broth.   And unlike other ramen yas where you can choose between miso, shoyu, or tonkotsu broths, Golden Pork serves only one type of broth (for tsukemen and regular ramen) - tonkotsu, which is a pork-based broth.

In addition to noodles, Golden Pork also has several sides to choose from. We like the Golden Pork Buns and Gyoza, both which are recommended by the restaurant.

It's been a few years since we've dined here, and now ordering is done by checking off your desired selections from the ordering sheet (similar to some dim sum places). You can order a certain thickness of noodle, spice level, and add toppings (for an additional charge).

Visit their website for more information.
