Take-out: Kim Chee #1

Kim Chee Restaurant #1 is a solid choice for Korean cuisine in Kaneohe. We used to order take-out from here when I was growing up, and thirty something years later it's still a popular place for locals to get their Korean fix.

Recently I ordered take-out for my sister-in-law's birthday dinner, and the Family Pack Menu was more than enough food for the 7 of us (5 adults, two 7-year olds).  Family Pack #1 ($72) comes with the following dishes:

BBQ chicken

Sliced Kal Bee

Fried Mandoo

Chicken Katsu

Vegetables

A container of rice was also included with the family pack.

I also ordered side orders of the cold tofu and chop chae with beef:

Cold Tofu

Chop Chae

The chop chae came in two containers in order to separate the sauce from the noodles.

We finished almost all of it - everything was very tasty, and I'd say the cold tofu, chop chae and kal bee were my most favorite dishes.  The boys loved the chicken katsu and bbq chicken.

Just as a side note, there are several Kim Chee Restaurants on Oahu, and they each have a different number (Kim Chee I, Kim Chee II, Kim Chee 7) and different menus, therefore be sure to look up Kim Chee #1 in Kaneohe, if you want to check this particular location out.
