I realize Gem just blogged about `ili `ili Cash & Carry (click here to see what she had to say), but I just had to blog about my first experience here because I was really impressed with the food.
`ili `ili Cash & Carry took over the spot formerly occupied by Watanabe Bakery on South Beretania Street in Moi'li'ili. They are a take-out operation only, no dine-in service.
I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza (since it was sitting in the display case, calling my name). I was really impressed at how crispy the crust was, even after the 10 minute commute back to my office.
And just look at how many of slices of pepperoni are on there - I've never seen so many on one slice before.
I also ordered an Italian hoagie for dinner later that evening.
I sliced it in half and popped it in the toaster oven to warm it up for dinner. The hoagie was LOADED with a generous amount of salami, mortadella, soppressata, lettuce, and tomatoes. The house-baked bread held everything together nicely. This hoagie was $17 and large enough for two to share.
I am definitely planning to return once they have the roast beef hoagie back in stock (it was unavailable on the day of my visit)!
