The Pig & the Lady Take-Out

It's been a while since I had The Pig & the Lady (the last time I went was last year, when I decided to just eat soft serve - because who can resist the magic crack?), so I decided to order take-out / curbside pick-up.

Braised Chicken Curry

Steak Garlic Noodle

Braised Pork Belly & Rice

Mama's Stir Fry

Mama's Spring Rolls

Brussels

LFC

The LFC is a must when dining at (or from ) The Pig & the Lady, and if you don't eat meat, try the Brussels, which is the vegetarian version.  So good!

Despite having to pick out a lot of bones from the curry, it was my favorite dish of the spread.  It was so hearty, and full of Indian and Vietnamese spices.

Every single thing we ordered was delicious, and I would order them all again.

I know the restaurant industry keeps taking hits, and from my perspective, I think The Pig & the Lady has been one of the most successful restaurants to persevere through the pandemic.  It seems as if their continued presence at the Farmers Markets throughout the island, even despite how popular their restaurants have become over the years, have not only garnered a loyal following, but also made it easier for them than others to pivot to a take-out model.

I've ordered take-out from many spots during the pandemic, but I can honestly say that The Pig & the Lady put the most thought into the packing.  Containers were plastic-wrapped to prevent leaks; others had holes poked in them to prevent food from getting soggy.

Curbside pickup is just around the corner on Smith Street - just pull up on the side, call to let them know you arrived, and they'll walk it over.
