Ka 'Ikena Laua'e at Home

Due to the pandemic, Ka 'Ikena Restaurant, the learning lab for KCC Culinary students, has been closed for dine-in service. However, they've been offering takeaway dinners throughout the Fall semester, and they have sold out every time these dinners have been offered.

I was able to get in on the last dinner offering for the semester, which was called "En Voyage to Europe".  Here's what was included in this dinner box designed for 2 people:

Spanish Tapas Platter: Pinxtos, Pulpo Gallego, Tortilla Espanola

Smoked Pier 38 Nicoise Salad

Fresh Pappardelle with shaved parmesan

Oxtail Bourguignone

Panna cotta with seasonal accoutrement

It's hard to believe that this came from a culinary school.  All dishes were wonderfully presented and tasted outstanding. The portions were very generous and we had a leftovers for the next day.

They will be on break until January, and I can't wait to see what's cooking in the Spring. Follow @kcccontinental for updates and announcements!
