Beach Day

For the first time since the pandemic began, we went to the beach.  Our family used to go to the beach regularly, and I finally had the courage to take them for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak.

The beach was a lot more crowded than I expected it to be.  There were lots and lots of surfers, and quite a few people on the beach.  On the beach, each party did their best to social distance.

I don't know if it was crowded because it was Fall Break, or if more and more people are just going to the beach now that the restrictions have been eased somewhat, but it was both relaxing and not.

Two of my kids really loved being at the beach.  I thought it was great to get outdoors.

I did feel uneasy, however, at just how complacent others seemed to be - as if we're not in the middle of a pandemic.

It was nice to get out.  I hope we can do it again soon, and I hope people are still taking this pandemic seriously.
