Another Shutdown

Another shutdown is here.  It's disappointing that we find ourselves in this situation once again.

We have the ability to keep our community healthy, but a complacent attitude has brought us here.

I personally know people who live as if we are not in pandemic.  I'm sure you know some too.  People are still gathering in large numbers, not social distancing, and not wearing masks.  It's mind-boggling.  You even see it all over social media.

I remember the first time I ventured out in April, and was shocked to see that Waikiki looked just about the same as it did pre-pandemic, with visitors and tourists alike crowding the beaches and strolling the sidewalk.

A lot of factors went into this new shutdown, but the bottom line is, we cannot get complacent.  The threat is real, and until we find a vaccine, we need to be thoughtful to those around us.
