Homemade Brownies

I was craving brownies after seeing a social media post, so I decided to try a new recipe.  They turned out to be very rich and fudgy - just the way I like them!

Homemade Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 c cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 2 T water
  • 1/2 t vanilla
Directions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, mix the eggs, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla.
  • Add the dry mix to the wet mix, and combine well, but do not over-mix.
  • Pour the batter into an 8x8" parchment-lined pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes.  Cool completely before slicing.
You can find the original recipe here on Love & Lemons.
