Recipe: Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Asparagus - it's a good  source of fiber, folate, vitamins A, C, E, K, and antioxidants. One of my most favorite ways to enjoy asparagus is to wrap them up with thin slices of bacon and bake them until the bacon is nice and crispy.  In my opinion, the crispier, the better!

Follow this recipe from Wholesome Yum the next time you want to make this dish!

  • preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • cut off bottom stems of each piece of asparagus
  • drizzle with olive oil
  • sprinkle garlic salt and pepper
  • slice strips of bacon length-wise to make narrow strips of bacon
  • wrap asparagus with one slice of bacon tightly
  • place on wire rack with a pan underneath lined with foil to catch the drippings
  • bake for 10-15 minutes, then flip over each piece and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until bacon is crispy
  • switch oven to high broil and broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness

Here's the link to website with the actual recipe - it has a great video tutorial!
