M by Chef Mavro - Weekly M Meal Offerings

Complimentary Meal Set was provided by our sponsor. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been able to enjoy meals at home from restaurants that I wouldn't normally go to, or have never been to.  M by Mavro, is one such restaurant that I've always wanted to try, but never got to ... until now.

During this pandemic, they decided to offer gourmet meal sets at affordable prices, four days a week. They have "2 for $20" Meal that are available for lunch or dinner.  Lunch pick up is between 11 am - 1 pm w/preorder by 9 am. Dinner pick up is between 5 pm - 7 pm  w/preorder by 3pm. The menu changes weekly!

Here's what I enjoyed from the 2 for $20 Meal set:

This particular week they offered M's 'Shephard's Pie' and M's Cacao Nib Sable Cookies with Coconut Creme.

The Shephard's Pie came chilled, so I just popped it in the microwave for two minutes and it was ready to serve.

Made with local ground  beef & pork, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and Sweet Land Farms goat cheese Gouda, this is not your grandma's Shephard's pie (no offense to all the grandma's out there)!  Because of the richness of the ingredients, this entree definitely a meal for two (or lunch and dinner for one!). I was never a huge fan of Shephard's pie growing up, but I am now, and I don't think it can get any better than this.

The Cacao Nib Sable Cookies  with Coconut Whipped Cream did not disappoint either. Crispy and light, it paired perfectly with the Shephard's Pie.

Oh how I wish the meal set came with more than two of these!

The best way to find out what's on the menu for the coming week is to follow Chef Mavro on Instagram (@chefmavrorestaurant), Facebook, or visit their website at: mbymavro.com.

Orders can be placed through the website or by calling (808) 944-4714.

Delivery (through a third party) of limited menu items is available.

P.S. M by Mavro also sells housemade gourmet sauces and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) boxes (read Gem's review of their CSA boxes here).
