Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

I recently made these Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies, which are based on the Levain Bakery recipe.
You bake them with no vanilla and at a high heat, and you're also supposed to make them into enormous cookies, but I ended up making little ones (because I wanted the cookies to last longer!).

They are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside.  Maybe next time I'll make them into the gigantic cookies the recipe called for!

Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 c butter, cut into small cubes
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 t cornstarch
  • 3/4 t baking soda
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 2 c chocolate chips
  • 2 c walnuts, chopped
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Bake by heaping tablespoonfuls onto parchment-lined cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
