Herringbone Waikiki

Since the kids are on break from sports for a couple of weeks, we actually had some free time on a Saturday morning to check out the brunch menu at Herringbone Waikiki.  We chose Herringbone primarily because we had a gift card to use, and the boys love venturing in Waikiki.  It was a  treat for all four of us since we normally don't dine at fine establishments like this for brunch!

Upon arrival we put in the boys' orders immediately since they were hungry.  Herringbone's keiki menu has 6 items on it, and it didn't take long for the boys to choose what they wanted.

One of my sons recently started eating hamburgers (finally!), so he ordered the kids burger without cheese.  His order came with two sliders and a nice portion of fries.

He didn't like the fries too much because there was a little bit of seasoning on it, but he loved the sliders (he kept asking if we could come back here again). He ate both of the sliders without hesitation, bun and all.

My other son ordered the macaroni & cheese au gratin.

He gave it  two thumbs up! The portion was pretty hefty and he ended up taking half of it home.

The hubby and I shared the Two-Hand Burger and Local Fish Taco. Both were excellent!

The hamburger had a lot of flavor. I love that they use locally sourced ingredients such as Manoa lettuce, Maui onion, and local tomato.

The Local Fish Taco consisted of a trio of grilled fish tacos.

Hopefully one day we'll return to try their dinner menu!
