Visit Kauai: Koloa Landing Resort

Our yearly holiday getaway to a neighbor island brought us to Kauai this year, and the beautiful 25-acre Koloa Landing Resort.

We were fortunate to stay in a spacious 1-bedroom villa, which came with a full kitchen, dining table, and sofa-sleeper.

We made ourselves at home in the villa, which was equipped with free Wi-Fi and two TVs.

The large bathroom was divided into two rooms - one with a tub and vanity, and one with a shower, toilet, and another vanity.

Typically our family of five likes to stay in rooms with two bathrooms, but the way the bathroom was separated in our villa made it more convenient than if we had just a single, tiny bathroom.

There was even a washer and dryer in the villa, so we were able to go back to Oahu without having to worry about doing laundry.

The expansive property boasts a volleyball net, putting green, soccer area, BBQs, fire pit (where there is a weekly S'mores night!), and multiple pools!

There are three different pools on the property, including an adults-only Tranquility Pool, and a family-friendly Lagoon Pool.

We spent all of our time at the main 350,000-gallon pool, which was complete with waterslides, an infinity edge, waterfalls, jacuzzis, and a grotto.

The kiddos sure loved the slides!

On our only full day on Kauai, we decided to take advantage of a cabana special - $100 for the entire day!

We were able to relax in a cabana that came with a fridge full of 12 bottles of water, a television, a ceiling fan, and lounge chairs.

I won't deny I fell asleep - it was too comfortable!

And my husband and kids were pretty spoiled - watching football and animated movies by the pool!

While at the pool, we dined on poolside eats from Holoholo Grill (and even had a great dinner one night too), and treated ourselves to very inexpensive, yet tasty shave ice!
The resort is right across the bay, and in the morning I took a walk for my daily workout, enjoying the chilly air as the sun rose.

Also on property is a fitness center, a 24-hour market, and spa, and the resort is just a very short drive from numerous restaurants and retailers.

We had a very fun, yet very relaxing stay at the family-friendly Koloa Landing Resort, and the staff was the absolute friendliest, which made our stay even better.  One of the front desk employees even remembered my name the next day when I went to ask a question.

Whether you have only a weekend or you have multiple weeks to getaway, the Koloa Landing Resort's multiple services and amenities make it a great home-away-from-home!
