Lunch at Button Up Cafe

I usually go to Button Up Cafe for breakfast (they are known for their Stuffed French Toasts!), but I decided to go during lunch recently simply so I could try the Braised Short Ribs Tater Tot Poutine.

Button Up Cafe's take on traditional poutine was quite yummy.  I do wish the pieces of short ribs were smaller (they were huge chunks), but overall I loved the crispy tater tots with the tender pieces of meat.
Bulgogi Cheesesteak

My husband enjoyed the Bulgogi Cheesesteak, which was served with a side salad.

We went to Button Up Cafe at the start of lunch (11am), and the wait for a table was quite long (30+ minutes).  There were quite a lot of tourists visiting on the day we dined there, and there was only a single server who also was performing cashier duties.

I'm glad I tried the tater tot poutine, but I'll probably stick to breakfast next time I go to Button Up Cafe, and I will be sure to go early to hopefully beat the crowd!
