Angelo Pietro

One of my all-time favorite restaurants on Oahu is Angelo Pietro. When I first started coming here back in the 90s, they were located on Kapiolani Blvd. They are now serving their Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine in Kaimuki on 12th Avenue.

They have two items on the Kids Menu - Kids Bolognese and Kids Cheese Pizza. Both Kids meals include a small soft drink. I ordered two kids pizzas for my boys, which they both enjoyed. We asked for the pizza sauce on the side (instead of on the pizza), which is why there is a small cup of sauce on the side.

My go-to at Pietro has always been the shrimp and mushroom with tomato sauce. I have tried their pasta with other ingredients before (chicken and spinach, chicken and mushroom), but I've always ordered my pastas with tomato sauce ... it's just that good! The fried onions on the top are an extra charge and also a must-have whenever I dine here.

Parking in the Kaimuki Municipal Lot can be a challenge if you come here during peak dining times. Walk-ins are accepted but you can also make a reservation ahead of time (recommended if you have a large party).
