Pau Hana with Hawaii's Beach Boys and Duke's Birthday Celebration

On Friday I was invited to a Pau Hana event to celebrate Hawaii's Beach Boys and Duke Kahanamoku's birthday at Duke's Waikiki.

Duke Kahanamoku, born August 24, 1890, was known as the "Father of Surfing."  The Olympian and Ambassador of Aloha was world-renowned for his athletic abilities as well as his community involvement.

Hawaii's legendary Beach Boys, known for teaching visitors how to surf the shores of Waikiki, were also honored at the event.
I had a chance to chat with the local icons, and they were the epitome of aloha!

Family and friends were present at the lively event to reminisce and acknowledge the surfing legends.  It was a well-deserved celebration!
