Sweet Creams

Ice cream rolls first hit Hawaii's shores in 2016, thanks to Sweet Creams. What was once just a pop-up concept (private events), is now serving their colorful concoctions from two locations on Oahu.  We visited their second location in Pearlridge Center - downtown on a Friday night, just before closing.

Ordering is easy - choose a size (keiki or regular), then either choose between 5 different flavors, or create your own (custom is an additional $.25).

Today I tried the strawberry shortcake, since I love practically everything strawberry-flavored.

All ice cream rolls are made-to-order.  Here's how they're made:

The secret milk mixture and strawberries are added to a flat cold plate, and the chopping begins...

The mixture is then flattened...

 Then scraped into rolls...

Then comes the strawberry syrup, whipped cream, graham cracker, and fruity pebbles...

Besides it being highly "Instagrammable", it tastes great too!
