Visit Auckland: Latitude 37

While in Auckland, we rented a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom split-level apartment through Latitude 37.

The modern apartment had all of the comforts and conveniences of home, including a full kitchen with a large dining table, and a washer and dryer.

The living room was spacious, the beds comfy, and two televisions in the apartment prevented the kids from fighting over what to watch.

The bathrooms were large, and the master bath had a soaking tub as well as a shower.

The apartment came with a basic starter kit of amenities, such as soaps, shampoo, and toilet paper.
If you ran out of anything, however, you'd have to purchase your own supplies, as it is a rental, after all.  You can't just pick up the phone and ask for housekeeping.

The kitchen was stocked with dishes, cookware, towels, and even seasonings.  I rarely cook at home, so I never cook on vacay, but it's nice having a full kitchen.  It could save you a lot of money from eating out all the time.
Housekeeping is available once a week, and there are rules prior to check-out (e.g. make sure all trash is taken out).  You will also get charged a fee if you use an excess amount of electricity.

Simply keep in mind that this home is truly someone else's home, and treat it as if it were your own home.

Latitude 37's location was ideal.  It was right next to Viaduct Harbor, and easily walkable to the train station, Sky Tower (we had a view of the Sky Tower from one of our bedrooms!), Auckland Fish Market, and numerous other attractions around Auckland.

We walked a lot to nearby restaurants, shops, and even playgrounds!
The apartment is not air conditioned, however, so it can get warm.  Fortunately, there were plenty of fans, and being close to the harbor meant a nice breeze if you sat out on the lanai.

The reception office is only open Monday through Friday, so if you check-in or check-out after hours, you will be given instructions on access.  Also, if any issues arrive outside of normal office hours, you will need to contact the appropriate person as listed in the apartment handbook for assistance (we had an issue with the bathroom fan not turning off, and fortunately a manager got back to us within an hour).

Not having someone readily available for any issues that may arrive at all hours may be cause for concern for some, but there is an emergency number to contact should extremely urgent matters arise.

Wi-Fi is available for a fee, and if you rent a car, Latitude 37 offers free, secured underground parking.

If you have any questions at all about Latitude 37, the amazing office team will be sure to assist.
