Visit Kauai: Na Pali Coast Tour

Beautiful Na Pali Coast

Visiting Kauai, looking for adventure, are not pregnant nor have any back pain?  Then, I recommend booking a tour to see the Na Pali Coast by boat.  There are many tour companies that will take you to see the Na Pali Coast, but only three can make the beach landing at the Na Pali Coast state park, Nualolo Kai beach.  I mean, if you are going to have an adventure, you might as well do it right!  My 11 year old daughter and I loved every minute with Blue Ocean Adventure Tours on our Kauai adventure!

We took the morning beach landing tour and because I was scared to death of getting seasick, I took Dramamine Naturals about an hour before we left the harbor.  They also recommended I sit near the front of the raft.  I didn't know what to expect, but it really was like how the captain described it: being on a mechanical bull for HOURS.  I checked on my daughter frequently while I held on for dear life, but by the looks of her mile-wide smile I knew she was fine.  She loved it!!!

We came upon a pod of dolphins almost right away in the morning. That was an incredible experience and for me the most memorable.  We then headed to the Na Pali Coast which took about an a hour to get to.  We did the signature Blue Ocean Adventure jumping shots in front of the beautiful mountains and it was so fun.  We then began the tour of the sea caves.  I started to feel a little nauseous when we stopped inside one of the sea caves because of the rocking of the boat so I took 2 more Dramamine Naturals and I was fine for the rest of the tour.  The tour of the open ceiling sea cave was breathtaking.  You must go see it!

I also recommend the beach landing tour. It was nice to take a break, warm up, and have a yummy lunch at the beach park.  Also, it's very exclusive as there is no other way on the beach except by kayak and via two other tour companies.  This is also where we stopped to snorkel.  Since it was our first time snorkeling, we were a little apprehensive, but we ended up loving it!

I'm really happy my daughter and I took this tour with Blue Ocean Adventures.  It's one of my favorite experiences we shared together!

Aboard the 24' rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat.  Seats up to 12 passengers plus crew.

Headed toward the 17 mile Na Pali Coast.

Dolphins swimming and playing near us.

I need to work on my jumping, but still so much fun jumping off the boat.

Inside a sea cave.

Gorgeous Kauai views.

Inside the open ceiling sea cave.

Lunch and a short hike at Na Pali Coast State Park.

We spotted a monk seal and her pup!

If you feel tired or sick, you can opt to take a break and sit in one of three "princess" seats.
